Grace Toronto Japanese Church has had the 10th anniversary celebration worship service June 2006. The journey of Pastor Masato Murai and his wife, Harumi Murai, thus far is as follows:

1981  They started Boston life; Masato was a seminary student and both of them got calling to serve the  Japanese living overseas.

1983  They started Toronto life and stayed here since. They served a local Japanese Church for 8 years.

1992  They looked for opportunities of outreaching among the Japanese here in Toronto.

1996  Masato got ordination under the Presbyterian Church in North America.

2005  Grace Toronto Japanese Church became independent from the English church and started renting the present church facilities.

2009   Grace Toronto Japanese Church had established and launched their web-site.

Masato & Harumi are parents of 5 adult children (2 are married). Their hope is to make their  “family of God” grow. They see their resident city, Toronto, as a hub that attract all world-wide nations and believe that their Japanese culture can be a magnet of the larger Family of God, as its motto is “peace and family”.
